A Dog For All Seasons

Many years ago, I came upon “Orisinal”, a website which is run by one man, Ferry Halim. I’m sure many of you have played the chicken game, pictured here. Ferry Halim created this game along with many others, most of them having cute graphics and cute animals. I’m not the biggest fan of flash games, but these games of his sure are different. Most of them are simple, intuitive, yet fun – and the graphics are usually very adoring. He used to make a game once every 3 months, but lately he’s been very busy and the time it takes to release a game becomes longer and longer.

And then came "A Dog For All Seasons". His newest game, August 8th.

I love this game. I haven't liked a game of his so much since "Floats". The music is peaceful and fitting. The graphics are cute as always. And the gameplay, while simple, is addicting. The combo system is quite intuitive and fun to play around with, and that’s where a lot of the fun comes from.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I’ve reached about 8800 points now, but that’s after a few hours of playing spread over a few weeks. It’s quite addicting. Best part about these games is that they don’t require a lot of your time to play.

While you’re there, you might as well enjoy some of my other favourites, such as:
Chicken Wings, Bubble Bees, The Three Monkeys, The Amazing Dare Dozen, Summer Walk, Cats, and last, but definitely not least, Floats.

Welcome to Space of Bao, Bao of Space

Welcome to my new blog! My name's Bao, and this is my alternate blog space of http://krug.blogspot.com . That’s the space where I write about what’s happening and some thoughts and all the regular kind of stuff. I post there. I write an entry about once or twice every 10 days, and my entries are usually long and multi-subjected, that is, I write about all the things I’ve done that week and have reviews to different movies or whatever. Sometimes it bothers me when nobody posts comments, so I make posts long (so there’s more to comment on) and multi-subjected (so whoever reads it, will find something to comment on).

Yeah, that’s kinda bad, being discouraged by no feedback, but then again, I’m a feedback kind of guy. Also, I’d rather post a long post every 10 days, than bother people with a post every time I get an idea, a thought.

Anyway, that’s what this blog is for. Instead of composing a blog post over 10 days, this blog will reflect on my instantaneous current thoughts, or maybe something cool that day, like a joke or a picture. So it shouldn’t be surprising if I write 4 posts in one day, each post being 1 or 2 paragraphs long.

Whether I get comments or not, I wouldn’t worry as much about it here, although comments are nice every now and then just to know someone visits the page. At least it’s a good feeling to be able to write something down for someone to see.

Anyway, I wanted to have a separate blog for a while now, where I can post reviews for movies and games and anime. It could be this blog, but this blog will also be where I post my daily thoughts and whatever. So this blog came into being today, when I opened my e-mail and read this joke from a mailing list I belong to. Enjoy.

A wealthy old lady decides to go on a photo safari in Africa, taking her faithful aged poodle named Cuddles along for company.

One day the poodle starts chasing butterflies, and before long, Cuddles discovers that she's lost. Wandering about, she notices a leopard heading rapidly in her direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old poodle thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep trouble now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, she immediately settles down to chew on the bones with her back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the old poodle exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here?"

Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike. A look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!" says the leopard. "That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the leopard with great speed and figures that something must be up. The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans, and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard.

The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!"

Now, the old poodle sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?" but instead of running, the dog sits down with her back to her attackers, pretending she hasn't seen them yet. Just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says: "Where's that monkey? I can never trust him. I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard, and he's still not back!"
