Future of Toothbrushes?

So I was brushing my teeth and I thought - what's next in toothbrush technology? Actually, not toothbrush technology, but the way we brush our teeth - is that it? Many years ago, people decided that we would pee and poop into this toilet thing, and it would flush away the waste into the sewers and what-not, so us regular folks don't have to deal with it. If we pooped, we would use toilet paper to wipe our butts to make them clean. Many years ago, people invented the toothbrush, and told us that we are to, every day, put toothpaste on our toothbrush and coat and wash each of our teeth with that, and that would keep our mouths clean.

Now, Japan has toilets that clean our butts, right? I'm not sure how widespread this is yet, if people are using the function but still cleaning their butts with paper or not. So I was wondering, if this is the end of bathroom technology, or is there more stuff coming? I know they're still developing new toothpastes, that whiten your teeth, freshens your breath, prevents gingivitis, and I think some of them even reverse gingivitis. And there are toothbrushes that are automatic, they rotate quickly and better than a human hand could do, and whatever else.

So I was wondering, if the future holds new ways to clean our teeth. Maybe we can have a dishwasher-like system? Maybe you take a capsule, put it in your mouth, then add water - and poof! it becomes a soapy-ish substance, you swoosh it through your teeth, all throughout your mouth - and then you rinse, and voila - your mouth is clean!

Or poof! Smart nano-technology traverses your mouth and cleans each individual tooth. Maybe in a few years we'll have this nano-technology, and then in a few more years make it more cost effective, but then it will still cost $8000 each time you want to clean your teeth that way, so I guess that's not very feasible... yet.

Maybe in the future you'll step into a booth, and then a combination of water technology, soap technology, and laser technology will give you the equivalent of a shower, shave, haircut, all at the same time; and yeah, it brushes your teeth if you want to. That would be nice, eh?

Then again, maybe in the future there's no need to ever leave the house and look pretty again. Or if you step outside, you'll die to radiation poisoning. That'd be interesting too.
