Wheee, haven't seen such a good Jackie Chan movie in years...

And it’s been a while since Die Another Day. If you like James Bond and Jackie Chan, you’ll like Jason Statham in his newest, Transporter 2.

Where to start? Jason Statham’s back as a Transporter. The first movie was fun. This movie is also fun. And also very thrilling. It’s mostly action, with its good mix of a bit of funny here and there. It’s like, it’s serious enough to be serious, but then it has these, over-the-top, impossible moments – where you have to say “that’s impossible!” – but then you take it and just enjoy the movie.

Jason Statham’s the man. He doesn’t die. He dodges bullets. He takes out foes as easy as pie. He avoids cops like crazy. He advances menacingly. And here, he’s a lot like Jackie Chan and James Bond – always looking around, making the best of the situation, using tools around him as weapons – jumping on cars to get onto rooftops, using firehoses as weapons – all that stuff that James Bond and Jackie Chan does, but with less gadgets and more bullets.

His voice is nice too. The gritty good guy voice.

Anyway, the movie is totally entertaining. Plot is alright, stuff is cliché sometimes… the bad guys always have the main big boss, the henchman, the tank, and the psychotic 2nd last boss femme fatale.

Picture quality is good, effects are well done. Some parts that are definitely fake are definitely fake, and you just accept that. Anyway, if you like James Bond, Jackie Chan, and Jason Statham, you should see the movie. I like those 3, and I like the movie. I’ll give it a 7.7/10, maybe more.
