Commercial Men, part 1 of 2

The other day I saw the funniest commercial. Maybe not as funny as the “18 tables in one”, but quite funny. Had me laughing for a while.

It started out in a hockey locker room, and the little kid points at his skates and says to his dad, “this one is too tight, and this one is too loose.” And then the camera turns and on the next bench, there’s THE CANADIAN TIRE GUY and his son, and the guy is turning a knob on the skates that tightens the skate for you, and it has notches or whatever so you can always tighten it to the correct amount for each skate.

OMG, that was funny. Jia’s always been saying that the Canadian Tire Guy is THE MAN. He takes a menial task, and then he ADDS MORE POWER, the way Tim Taylor would do on Tool Time, only this time it works. When Jia sees him, he’ll ask for his autograph. And he’ll probably use a solar-powered hydraulic super pen to write it.
